CRC Zinc It is a single-component, zinc-rich coating that provides protection similar to hot-dip galvanising. Containing 95% high-purity zinc, it bonds electrochemically to steel and iron surfaces, delivering long-term corrosion resistance through sacrificial anodisation, even when scratched or damaged. The fast-drying coating is resistant to salt, water, heat (up to 500°C), and harsh environmental conditions.
Suitable for repairing damaged galvanised surfaces or protecting bare steel and iron, CRC Zinc It can be applied as a heavy film without runs and offers excellent adhesion, weld-through capability, and high film build in a single application. It is touch dry in 20 minutes, fully cured in 24 hours, and can be recoated at any stage.
Applications include structural steel, weld repairs, farm equipment, water tanks, fences, boats and trailers, automotive parts, roofing, plumbing, industrial machinery, bridges, and construction infrastructure. It can be used as a finish coat or overcoated with decorative paint systems for additional protection and appearance.
CRC Zinc It provides corrosion protection for up to six years outdoors, depending on conditions, and can be easily reapplied for ongoing protection. It is designed for use on steel and iron only and is not effective on non-ferrous metals.
